I have seen more significant changes in my body composition from almost 3 months of Bodyzen bootcamp than in over a year of Zumba 3 times per week! Every part of my body is toned and tighter than before. Every workout is different so my body never has a chance to get too used to it, and the bootcamp format pushes me to work harder than I could ever push myself on my own. I love that Courtnie designs the workouts so that we are working different parts of our bodies on different days. I also love that I am combining strength and cardio in 1 short 30 minute workout!

As a retired 82nd Airborne Infantry Paratrooper, I have a vague recollection of what being in top physical condition is. Now, some 2 decades later, innumerous bad nutritional choices, and lower back surgery (15 years ago) as well as a knee reconstruction surgery (2 years ago) – I found myself wanting, no needing, to get back to a healthy lifestyle. That’s where Bodyzen Bootcamp comes in. Now, don’t let the word “bootcamp” mislead you – it is not an in-your-face, beat you down approach to physical conditioning (been there – done that, still have the sweat-stained t-shirt). Nor should you let the word “Bodyzen” mislead you into thinking it is some mind affable approach to conditioning either. What it has done for me is provided the opportunity to do what I can at my particular fitness level and encourages me to continue to strive to better myself. I have attended every session I could since I began about 10 weeks ago (the short, to-the-point sessions take very little time out of my schedule) and I have yet to do the same routine! The results have been evident and I am convinced that by continuing with the program I will be back to my former state of fitness in a very short time.

The way I see it:

Bodyzen Bootcamp – if you want to endure the toughness to be at peace with your body!

Bodyzen boot camp is awesome. I used to feel like I was a strong person, but this class made me humble.  Each time it’s a great workout. Plus Courtnie changes the routines every day, so we never get bored. She will give modifications if someone had a previous injury. At the same time, she will push us to our limits. It’s a workout I would never do at home because it’s tough.  We’re so focus on getting through the workout, it’s hard to notice what other people are doing. I like it because each person goes at their own pace because there are all different levels and all different ages. The beauty of this workout, it’s outside. We’re not stuck in a gym. So instead of being on the treadmill facing a wall, the views are the Catalina mountains, how much better can it get?

I have been attending BodyZen Boot Camps for several months now and I have to say I’m one happy camper…boot camper. I’ve been attending the Jesse Owens location and I find that the trainer is very knowledgeable, accountable and fun to work with (I’ve attended other boot camps in the Tucson area and I tell you Courtnie, the owner runs one tight ship). I love the 30 to 45 min workout because I’m a terrible procrastinator when it comes to working out and it’s hard to find an excuse to miss a session not only because of the efficient workouts but because of the numerous classes offered. I’m finding that I am looking forward to class because of how great I’ve feeling been both mentally and physically and also to work out with the friends I’ve made. Everyone there is friendly and welcoming and there is a sense of camaraderie that is unexpected.

I had tried dieting, but knew that I needed to incorporate some exercise if I was ever going to lose the weight that my doctor kept telling me I needed to lose. I wanted to lose weight the right way, but I didn’t know where to start. One of my co-worker had been going to BodyZen Boot Camp for a month and raved about it, she just loved it! She was constantly asking me to come along, but I used the cost of the boot camp as my excuse. I would say “It’s too expensive” I always hated to exercise so why was I going to pay for something I hate?

Well a few weeks went by and BodyZen had a promotion. My co-worker wasn’t taking no for an answer this time so I agreed to go for ONE month at the discounted rate. I was SO nervous my first day, I imagined being screamed at, being called a maggot and “dropping” to give a drill sergeant “20!” of whatever torturous exercise popped into their head. I was so wrong. BodyZen is fantastic and Courtnie is fabulous! I feel encouraged to do my best but I don’t feel pushed or pressured. I’ve made new friends, I’m getting out of the house, I feel stronger than I have ever felt in my entire life and I love it! One month turned into three and I haven’t looked back. I can go before or after work and on even Saturdays, so regardless of my schedule there’s always a class I can make it to. It’s only 30 to 45 minutes and I feel great when I’m done. Combined with a healthy diet I have lost over 50 pounds!!!

I have been a member of Bodyzen bootcamp since January 2012. Prior to joining I had not worked out in over three years. Although I am slowly getting into shape I lost 1 1/2 inches off my thighs in a month, 2 inches off my waist, and 1 inch off my thighs and that is in ONE month without the diet plan. I love the workouts, they leave me feeling energized, and I love the conversations and friends I have made. I will be faithful to Bodyzen always. Thank you for your fabulous camps.

I started BodyZen Boot Camp last summer at age 65, not knowing if I could withstand the regimen and/or the heat. To my surprise, within a month my entire body was more tightened and toned, and I could wear a bathing suit without having to suck in my stomach all the time. Courtnie allows us to modify the exercises so I can pace myself and prevent injuries. And I enjoy being outside, even in the heat. Thanks, Courtnie, for running a great exercise program that works for me.
